Welcome to Our Blog about Raising Dogs

welcome sign

Dear friend,

We are thrilled to have you here with us. Welcome to our blog devoted to one of the strongest bonds that have ever existed – that between a human and their dog. Bringing a furry friend into your life is a thrilling experience. One could hardly imagine the love, affection, and loyalty a dog can give to their owner and vice versa.

However, raising a dog is a big responsibility. As pet parents, we need to make sure our dogs are properly taken care of, trained, and socialized to interact with humans and other animals. Sometimes, this might not be an easy task. Here is where advice from experts and other dog owners comes in handy. The goal of our blog is to present you with relevant information on how to make your place a proper home for your dog and how to raise your puppy in the best possible manner. Here is a brief overview of some of the tips and tricks I share with fellow dog parents:

Taking Care of a Young Puppy

There is no joy such as getting a puppy. However, introducing the tiny ball of fur to its new home requires a lot of preparation and patience. To make this process smoother and more effortless, I offer many articles for you to consider both before you get a dog and after your new friend has become a part of your household.

This sort of information is also essential if you have children. Kids and dogs generally get along pretty well. Still, every family member must be prepared for the puppy’s arrival and adaptation period. Also, my advice will be helpful to you if you already have other pets in your home.

Nutrition and Exercise

To be healthy, your dog needs a proper diet and quality physical activity. Dogs need to take in the proper nutrients to grow and stay healthy as well as to exercise well, just as humans do. Long gone are the times when people fed their pets with leftovers and just let them run stray outside. This is unacceptable in today’s world, where you have all sorts of affordable food choices and supplements as well as different facilities and activities dedicated specifically to dogs.

Training

Dog training is a vast area. It encompasses everything from physiological needs training to teaching your pet how to perform different commands and to behave well during your walks. While there are certain things you can do on your own, in some cases it is best to seek professional guidance.

I have spent years working with some of the country’s most prominent dog training experts. Thus, I have learned many useful tips and tricks on how to train your dog at home, which I share with you here. Besides, I give you some handy advice on how to choose the proper dog training professionals to work with.

Socializing

Dogs are social animals. They enjoy being around humans and generally, among other dogs as well. However, some of our furry pals can be somewhat shy or on the opposite – too intense. That is why it is important to socialize your dog the right way.

A properly socialized dog will demonstrate a calm and cheerful demeanor when surrounded by people and other dogs in a friendly atmosphere. Generally, it will not display hostile behavior towards other animal species and will not try to bite or harm anyone around unless threatened. It will also not attempt to randomly damage the physical surroundings.

Most dogs are generally susceptible to socializing. However, depending on the dog’s temper and background, the process may sometimes be challenging. This is especially valid if you have a rescue or shelter dog. That is why I have dedicated an entire section to advice on socializing.

As you can see, there is a lot to read, learn, and explore on the pages of our blog. Let’s just jump right in and get it going!
